Commemorative plate for the founding of the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities
Charm of the Silk RoadIn commemoration of the inauguration of the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities, this decorative porcelain plateis beautifully round in shape and brightly smooth in texture. Worthy of its name Charm of the Silk Road, it features scenes of a caravan traversing the desert and a merchant fleet sailing across the sea, joined in the middle by a silk ribbon patterned with lotuses, tea leaves and porcelain. Rimmed by a gilded key pattern and a repeating design inspired by the Alliance’s logo, the dish bears on its back side the names of all the founding member cities of the Alliance (as of August 18, 2023). This piece of artwork was designed to do justice to the glory of the Silk Road and convey the commitment of the Alliance to opening a new chapter in cultural exchange and tourism cooperation between the member cities and regions involved.
